Privacy Policy

Who we are
RateMyHomeHealth.com is an independent home health agency directory operated in the United States. We publish Medicare quality data sourced from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Home Health Compare dataset. We are not affiliated with CMS, the federal government, or any home health agency or healthcare organization.
What we collect
We do not require you to create an account or submit personal information to use this site.
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site. GA4 collects standard internet log information including your IP address (anonymized), browser type, pages visited, time on site, and referring website. This data is aggregated and used solely to improve the site. Google Analytics operates under its own privacy policy.
If you contact us by email (via the Agency Portal inquiry form), we collect only the information you voluntarily provide: your name, email address, agency name, and message. We use this solely to respond to your inquiry and do not add you to any mailing list.
Cookies
Google Analytics sets cookies to track sessions and page views. These are analytics cookies only. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or any third-party ad network. You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time. Disabling cookies will not affect your ability to use this site.
How we use information
- To understand which pages and features are most useful to visitors
- To respond to agency portal inquiries
- To diagnose technical problems with the site
We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
California residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion of your personal information, and opt out of any sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. The only personal data we hold is what you voluntarily submit through the agency contact form. To request deletion, email us at [email protected].
Visitors from outside the United States
This site is operated from the United States and is primarily intended for US audiences. If you access this site from the European Union or other regions governed by data protection law (including GDPR), please be aware that your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may not provide the same level of data protection as your home country.
If GDPR applies to your use of this site, you have the right to: request access to personal data we hold about you; request correction or deletion of your personal data; object to or restrict our processing of your data; and request a portable copy of your data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days. Given that we collect minimal personal data (only what you voluntarily submit and anonymized analytics), most requests can be resolved quickly.
Because we use Google Analytics, you may also wish to install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. EU users who prefer not to have analytics cookies set should use this opt-out tool or disable cookies in their browser before visiting.
Data retention
Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months per our GA4 settings. Email inquiries are retained for as long as necessary to fulfill the inquiry and are then deleted.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy periodically. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised date. For material changes to how we collect or use data, we will make reasonable efforts to provide notice (such as a prominent notice on this site). We recommend reviewing this policy periodically. Continued use of the site does not constitute waiver of your rights under applicable privacy law.
